Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has approved the immediate recruitment of new medical and health workers to strengthen healthcare delivery across the state. This move is part of the government’s continued efforts to provide quality healthcare services and create more healthcare jobs in Nigeria.
The announcement was made by the Permanent Secretary of the Kwara State Civil Service Commission, Hajia Kifayat Jimoh, during a media chat. She praised the governor’s leadership and dedication to revamping the state’s healthcare system, which has already seen notable improvements in infrastructure and patient care.
The recruitment exercise will help fill several healthcare vacancies in Kwara State. These include positions for medical officers, staff nurses and midwives, pharmacists, medical lab scientists, medical record officers, and health attendants. The new recruitment aims to reduce the burden on existing healthcare staff and make health services more accessible, especially in underserved areas.
Hajia Jimoh emphasized that the recruitment notice has already been advertised publicly. Interested candidates are urged to follow the instructions carefully and meet all requirements before applying.
These include valid professional qualifications, NYSC certificate, higher education certificates, WAEC or SSCE results, birth certificate, and proof of citizenship.
