Caleb University Announces Vacancies for Regional Officers and Clerical Staff

Caleb University has announced new job openings for qualified candidates to fill the positions of Regional Officers and Clerical Staff across its Regional Outreach Offices. The institution, located in Imota, Lagos State, is inviting applications from individuals who are capable of supporting its student recruitment and outreach efforts.

The vacancies form part of the university’s strategy to expand its admission reach by engaging prospective students across different regions. The roles are designed to strengthen the institution’s presence and improve enrolment through structured and targeted outreach programmes.

Role of the Regional Officer

The Regional Officer will play a key role in driving student recruitment and engagement activities. The officer will report directly to the Head of Admissions, Director of Outreach, or the Vice Chancellor, depending on operational needs.

Primary responsibilities include identifying and targeting fee-paying secondary schools and coaching centres within assigned regions. The officer is also expected to analyse regional demographics to identify areas with strong enrolment potential. Maintaining a comprehensive database of prospective students, including their academic records and interests, is also a major part of the role.

In addition, the officer will organise outreach activities such as career fairs, school visits, open days, and parent-teacher meetings. These events are aimed at promoting the university’s programmes, scholarships, and campus experience. Building relationships with school counsellors, principals, and other education stakeholders is also essential.

The role further involves guiding prospective students through the application process, coordinating entrance examinations or interviews, and following up on leads to ensure successful conversions. The officer will also be required to submit regular reports on outreach performance and manage budgets related to regional activities.

Requirements for Regional Officer

Applicants must possess at least a bachelor’s degree, while a master’s degree will be considered an added advantage. Candidates should also have between three to five years of experience in student recruitment, sales, public relations, or event management, preferably within the education sector.

Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, along with proficiency in customer relationship management software and basic data analysis. Applicants must be willing to travel frequently and demonstrate the ability to work independently while maintaining ethical recruitment standards.

Responsibilities of Clerical Staff

The Clerical Staff will support the Regional Officer in administrative and operational duties. This includes managing office communications such as phone calls and emails, scheduling appointments, and organising travel plans.

They will also be responsible for entering and maintaining data records, handling documentation, and generating basic reports on student engagement and follow-ups. During outreach events, clerical staff will assist with logistics, vendor coordination, and participant registration.

Additional responsibilities include handling petty cash transactions and preparing purchase requests for office needs.

Requirements for Clerical Staff

Candidates applying for clerical roles must have at least a secondary school certificate and an Office Administration qualification, while an associate degree is an advantage. Applicants should also have one to two years of experience in administrative roles such as front desk operations or data entry.

Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, are required. Candidates must also demonstrate organisational ability, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Application Process

Interested and qualified candidates are required to submit their applications within two weeks of the announcement. Applications, including a detailed CV, should be addressed to the Registrar of Caleb University at Km 15, Ikorodu-Itoikin Road, Imota, Lagos State.

Applicants may also submit their applications via email through the official address provided by the institution. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further stages of the recruitment process.

The announcement was signed by Olawale Adekoya, Principal Information and Media Expert, reaffirming the university’s commitment to recruiting competent professionals who will contribute to its growth and outreach objectives.
